Temas de interés

Nuestro grupo de investigación estudia los mecanismos fisiopatológicos que desencadenan las diarreas producidas por Escherichia coli enterohemorrágica (EHEC) y la acción de la toxina Shiga (Stx2) y otros factores de virulencia responsables del Síndrome Urémico Hemolítico (SUH) con el propósito de desarrollar nuevas estrategias para disminuir la incidencia de EHEC y el desarrollo del SUH.

Nuestro grupo de investigación tiene como finalidad estudiar los mecanismos fisiopatológicos involucrados en la evolución de la insuficiencia renal aguda a crónica en un modelo animal de SUH y evaluar las alteraciones renales durante la progresión a la cronicidad en modelos animales de diabetes.
