The overall goal of our research is to identify therapeutic strategies applicable to genetic disorders that affect learning and behavior. For this purpose, we study molecular mechanisms involved in learning and memory deficits in experimental models. Understanding learning mechanisms in animal models will allow us to evaluate specific predictions in individuals with the genetic disorders of interest.
